       The VEGAPULS 68 is a radar sensor for continuous measurement of bulk solids also under difficult process conditions and with large measuring ranges. The sensor is ideal for level measurement in high silos, large bunkers, stone crushers and in the furnace. The VEGAPULS 68 with different antenna versions and materials is the optimum solution for virtually all applications and processes. Through the wide temperature and pressure range, the sensor can be used universally and enables a simple planning.

The ranging principle of VEGAPULS 6X

Principle:The instrument emits a continuously frequency-modulated radar wave through a lens antenna. 
The transmitted signal is reflected by the medium and received by the antenna as an echo.
The frequency of the received signal always deviates from the transmitted frequency, and the difference in frequency is proportional to the distance.

C&K band:Measure the running time of the radar pulse

The distance is determined by measuring the running time of the wave

Level monitoring of bulk solids – a tough instrument for tough environments

          VEGAPULS 68 is the level measuring transducer for extreme bulk solids applications in silos of all kinds. Continuous monitoring of bulk solids with VEGAPULS 68 is largely independent of process conditions such as high temperatures or dusty environment, e.g. in coal handling systems in power plants or in storage facilities for building materials such as clinker or cement.

        Achieve the best focusing effect through a small size.The antenna diameter is 245 mm.Better antenna performance.The signal focusing Angle is only 3°.The signal amplitude is 12 dB higher than that of the 95 mm horn antenna.
