The ranging principle of VEGAPULS 6X

Principle:The instrument emits a continuously frequency-modulated radar wave through a lens antenna. 
The transmitted signal is reflected by the medium and received by the antenna as an echo.
The frequency of the received signal always deviates from the transmitted frequency, and the difference in frequency is proportional to the distance.

The distance is determined by measuring the running time of the wave

It is the economical solution for simple bulk solids measurement in the food industry as well as in plastics processing, in steelmaking and in the construction industry. VEGAPULS 67 is actually the "little brother" of VEGAPULS 68, the radar level sensor for bulk solids measurement under difficult process conditions.
